So, you've seen or read about these guys and possibly thought that their story was too strange to be true. Well, that's because it is. Their names are not Tom and Will. They are Kyle and Roen. They told the truth about their ages though. They are 23 and 16. They come from a family of 6 people living in Roseville, California. They've only been living in the "bush" since June of 2003. I know this because I am their brother. I wouldn't expect anyone to believe me, but I have photos of "Will Green" taken with a digital camera when he was younger. This is only the beginning of the evidence of their "real" life that will be revealed. We were aware that Kyle was living the rustic life in Canada, but we only discovered that Roen was with him on April 2, 2004. I'll post as much information as I can when I have the time. His parents are flying up to Canada to help clear up the mystery and make sure "Will" is doing okay. There will be a CBC special showing the reunion on Tuesday April 6th at 9:00pm. I presume it will be available on the net after that.
I very much would like to thank Tami Ryder and her family and all the people of British Columbia who have generously helped Kyle and Roen. Please understand that, although they were not telling the truth about their past, they were not trying to con you nor do they have any evil intentions. They were truly in need. They foolishly thought they could live off the land in the Canadian mountains. They are very distrustful of government and were concealing their identities because Roen was being pursued by authorities at home in order to put him into a hospital for evaluation because of his low weight. Despite his intentions, we feel Kyle has done a terrible thing which he should have to answer for. Kyle and Roen are even distrustful of their own loving family, who, like most everybody else, realizes the danger Roen is in. If you have helped Kyle and Roen in any way, we appologize that you were lied to, but I know they are genuinely grateful, as are we, their family.
